GREAT TRIANGLE, JESUIT REDUCTIONS, ITAIPÚ, YGUAZÚ (3 DAYS)

Day: 01
Early in the morning we will leave Asuncion to take the ASUNCIÓN-ENCARNACIÓN highway.
On the way, we will visit the FRANCISCAN CHURCH OF YAGUARÓN with its marvelous crafts
made by aborigines carving native woods. In VILLA FLORIDA, a summer resort and fishing village
at the Tebycuary River, we will make a brief stop, then continue our trip to SAN IGNACIO and the
Museum of the First Jesuit Reduction. Lunch and we continue on the National Road Number I to
ENCARNACIÓN; there will be a brief city sightseeing with a spectacular view on the ROQUE GONZALEZ BRIDGE, which unifies ENCARNACIÓN (Paraguay) with POSADAS (Argentina). Then we come to the PAPILLON hotel, check in, and you have the evening at your disposal. 
 

The Jesuit Mission of Trinidad

Day: 02
After breakfast we will visit the RUINS OF JESÚS and TRINIDAD, declared as an "UNIVERSAL PATRIMONY OF HUMANITY" by the UNESCO, visit of the prosper colonies of European immigrants of HOHENAU and OBLIGADO. Before noon we continue our trip along the highway Nr 6, which has beautiful views, until we reach CIUDAD DEL ESTE. Before we cross to FOZ DE IGUAZÚ, we will visit the ITAIPÚ HYDROELECTRIC PLANT and the MONDAY FALLS. Crossing the FRIENDSHIP BRIDGE and lodging in the SUICA HOTEL of FOZ DE IGUAZÚ.

 

Day: 03

D)After the breakfast we go directly to the YGUAZÚ FALLS, with a possibility to make a
MACUCO SAFARI, and to visit the BIRD PARK. After lunch, we will return to Asunción.
